about the founder

In 2014, after working as an in-house designer for many years, Courtney decided to ditch the corporate world and headed west to Los Angeles – with a dream and a packed Hyundai. Over the next two years she slowly but surely grew her client base as a freelance designer and in July of 2016, East + Sunset was officially formed.

Courtney comes from a family of artists, and her love of the creative arts grew organically. Her grandfather worked in the advertising world during the heyday of the 60’s, her grandmother taught art at the prestigious Museum School in Philadelphia and the Art Institute in Chicago and her father is a principal at TPG Architecture in NYC. Courtney is proud to carry on that tradition of creativity through her own agency, East + Sunset. Courtney is passionate about beauty, experienced in all design platforms, and loves a challenge.
